| Description | Zack joined the Irvine office at Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, LLP in 2012, and has litigated a variety of cases, including personal injury, wrongful death, civil rights, employment discrimination, and construction defect. He primarily represents the County of Orange in civil actions on behalf of the County of Orange, its various departments and agencies, and their employees. In recent years, Zack has litigated several cases defending the Orange County Sheriff’s Department from civil rights and personal injury claims regarding the Orange County Jails. When he isn’t defending the County of Orange, he can be found assisting in KNCH Law’s robust construction defect practice area. Zack has gained an exceptional reputation for his motion work and legal writing skills, having drafted countless successful appellate briefs, demurrers, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment. And if he is unable to succeed on a dispositive motion, or obtain a beneficial settlement, he is ready to go to trial for his clients.Communication and trust are greatly important to Zack, which is reflected in his relationships with his clients. He seeks to build strong relationships to make litigation (which is often unpleasant) an enjoyable and comfortable experience for both claim professionals and individual defendants or insureds. While a great litigator, Zack also values his role as an advisor to his clients and can effectively guide them through difficult and complex litigation, while providing sound advice and answers.As the middle child of three boys growing up in Colorado near the Rocky Mountains, to becoming a husband and father raising his own children near the beaches of Orange County, California, Zack has a passion for and values life. He greatly appreciates the opportunities and success he has achieved.Zack attended and graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Business Administration. In his senior year, he received the award for Outstanding Undergraduate Marketing Student. After a brief stint in sales, Zack attended Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law. While in law school, he became a Senior Articles Editor on Law Review, competed in Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions, and served as a mediator for the Riverside County Superior Court as part of Chapman’s Mediation Clinic. Zack graduated magna cum laude from Chapman and ranked second in his class.Zack spends most of his time outside of work with his family enjoying walks, pool days, hiking, and going to the beach. He is a big USC Football fan and also loves playing golf.
