| Description | Michael Sekkas is senior counsel in WSHB’s White Plains office. Michael is experienced in defending tort claims involving wrongful death, catastrophic injury, premises liability, professional liability and personal injury matters. Michael also focuses his practice on transportation, subrogation and cybersecurity and data privacy matters as a member of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Team. In addition, Michael assists our national insurance coverage practice by advising and representing domestic and international insurers on first-party property (Homeowner’s and Commercial), commercial general liability, construction defect, and professional errors and omission claims. He has successfully litigated a wide variety of first-party and third-party insurance cases, including the interpretation of policy provisions and exclusions. Prior to joining WSHB, Michael worked for a boutique law firm in Fairfield County where he acted as lead litigation counsel with a focus on tort and commercial litigation.Michael received his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he was a Member of the Mock Trial Honor Society. He was awarded the American Jurisprudence award for Advanced Mock Trial and received the award for Outstanding Performance in Oral Advocacy upon graduation. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Drew University. Michael currently serves as a Mock Trial Coach for the Quinnipiac University School of Law Mock Trial Honor Society. |
