| Description | Experience: During law school, Ms. Moss served as a legal intern for the Stockton City Attorney’s office, where she was responsible for assisting attorneys in representing the City, in both State and Federal Courts. This internship allowed Ms. Moss to develop strong litigation and transactional skills. After passing the Bar Exam, Ms. Moss became the only California-licensed in-house counsel for a major grocery retailer, and its subsidiaries. Ms. Moss handled all of the companies’ contracts and oversaw general guidance and litigation. Ms. Moss has the ability to synthesize complex legal information and extract and present the relevant information to executives and category business owners. Her regulatory and litigation roles include regulatory compliance and overseeing outside counsel on a variety of matters. Ms. Moss assists businesses with labor relations and collective bargaining; as well as, complex federal, state, and administrative, and local employment matters (e.g., class action, wage and hour, discrimination, wrongful termination, etc.). In addition, Ms. Moss provides advice in hiring practices, formation of personnel policies and procedures, and contract negotiation and enforcement thereof. About Samantha: Samantha grew up in Tracy, California, back when it was still a small cow town. She played year-round sports, including basketball, volleyball, and swimming. Being part of a collaborative team is important to her; thus, she is always willing to jump in and assist her peers. Samantha is a highly driven individual with a love for animals. When she is not busy at work, she enjoys spending time exploring the valley’s waterways and trails with her dogs. Samantha is also an avid reader and enjoys visiting the local library.
