| Description | I don’t subscribe to a purely transactional approach to practice, focusing on a single, one-off interaction. My focus is on building long-term relationships. Relationships matter. There is no substitute for practical, common-sense legal advice when you need it, coming from a lawyer who knows you, and who knows your business. Getting to know you and how you think, and learning your concerns is a crucial part to building those relationships. Gaining a complete and focused picture of your goals allows for more informed, consistent, and functional results in legal planning.My practice is focused on business transactions and real estate transactions, commercial and business related negotiation and litigation, as well as planning and administering complex trusts and estates. I have experience advising clients on contractual, leasing, financing and title matters, and have successfully assisted individual and institutional clients in navigating sophisticated business transactions. I have also assisted in the formation or restructuring of various business entities and enterprises, including special purpose entities and investment vehicles, and have represented companies and individuals in a variety of property and commercial disputes.About Trey: I completed my undergraduate work at The College of Charleston and obtained my Juris Doctor at the Charleston School of Law. I’m admitted to the bar in South Carolina, and am a member the American Bar Association, as well as various other professional organizations.I have a wonderful wife, Melissa, who I met in high school, and who helps me keep after two trouble-making dogs. In my personal time, I enjoy playing tennis, attempting golf, fishing, hiking, and watching football, baseball, and motorsports. I’m a member of the College of Charleston Alumni Association, Eagle Scout, and member South Carolina AFM (Mariners No. 2). |
