| Description | Mr. Chaplin was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. He graduated from California State University Chico with highest honors in Political Science and obtained his Juris Doctorate at the University of Utah. He is admitted to practice before all California State Courts as well as the Eastern District Federal Court, the Northern District Federal Court, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. During law school, Mr. Chaplin gained experience working for the Utah Attorney General’s office, the Salt Lake County District attorney’s office and the El Dorado County District attorney’s office. Upon being admitted to the California State Bar, Mr. Chaplin went to work for the firm of Hardin, Cook, Loper, Engel and Burgess in Oakland California working primarily in complex asbestos litigation. Mr. Chaplin then moved back to Chico in order to raise a family and practiced primarily in insurance defense. He now practices personal injury and family law. Mr. Chaplin is married and has three beautiful daughters. |
