| Description | For over 7 years, Rachel served as the Prosecutor for the City of Edmonds handling an average of 1000 criminal cases a year. She prosecuted around 100 DUI cases each year and is a skilled DUI and criminal litigator, well-versed in current laws. She adds a unique viewpoint to DUI Heroes, as she can look at a case from both a Prosecutor’s and Defense Attorney’s perspective to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a case and find the best possible solution for our clients.Born and raised in WA, Rachel graduated from of the University of Washington, and Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to Law School, she participated in the King County Public Defender’s investigator internship program and acted as Criminal Defense Paralegal for 2.5 years, aiding in the defense of people charged with criminal offenses. While in law school, she focused her education on litigation practice; excelling in Trial Skills and oral advocacy courses, and building the skill set that has made her the successful trial attorney she has become. She also served as a Rule 9 with the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office prior to taking the Bar exam.Over the years, Rachel has worked with numerous Prosecutors, Defense Attorneys, and Judges in King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. She is experienced in negotiating cases and arguing motions to achieve just and satisfactory outcomes. She is extremely well respected by the courts and colleagues on both sides of the bench.I look forward to helping our clients through a very difficult time in their lives. Many people do not have any familiarity with the criminal justice system and I look forward to helping you navigate that process as smoothly and painlessly as possible. Rachel and her husband met at the dog park so they have their dogs to thank for their match, marriage, and happily ever after! They love camping, hiking, playing cards, and relaxing around a campfire with their dogs. Rachel and her husband also enjoy skiing and taking the dogs on snow adventures. Both enjoy cooking with their favorite cuisine being Mexican, BBQ, and a few Thai dishes they learned during their recent trip to Thailand. They look forward to future travels and many more adventures together. |
