| Description | Curtis W. Martin is co-managing partner of Peckar & Abramson’s Houston office. He represents contractors and owners on large construction projects and advises clients on all facets of the construction process, from the preparation of contract documents to counseling on risk management, business and legal issues that arise during projects, and dispute resolution.BioCurt draws on extensive experience in the construction industry, where he has focused his professional life since 1979 as both a construction lawyer and an industry executive. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer of an ENR-400 construction company. He is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.Curt is at the forefront of industry trends-including new technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM)-which are changing the way construction is performed. A thought leader in this area, he has taught the AGC’s BIM Module 3 (BIM Contract Negotiation and Risk Allocation) since its inception. He also frequently writes and lectures on topics in construction law and risk management, and has taught construction law at the university level and trained industry professionals throughout the United States and abroad.
