| Description | Sara Roque was born in Mexico City, Mexico and moved to the Houston, Texas area when she was 11 years old. She is a trial lawyer currently focusing in the area of criminal defense. Throughout her career Sara has worked on a variety of cases ranging from DWIs and domestic violence to murder and child abuse. Ms. Roque is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she studied history and philosophy. She earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where she was a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association and the Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law. While at UH Law, Sara participated in the law school’s Immigration Clinic and Trial Advocacy course. Prior to her employment at the Edwards Law Firm Sara worked at multiple firms in Houston and a Mexican energy regulatory agency. Her experience includes criminal law, business and commercial litigation and international oil and gas law. Sara is completely bilingual in English and Spanish. She joined the Edwards Law Firm to continue pursuing her passion for criminal defense and defending those in need.
