In 2007, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Drake University Law School with High Honors. He earned the distinctive grade of Top A in four law school courses. Mr. Heiting-Doane is licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa. Mr. Heiting-Doane volunteers as a pro bono attorney with Justice For Our Neighbors, the American Civil Liberties Union, and other organizations assisting immigrants and refugees. Mr. Heiting-Doane is a member of the Iowa Association for Justice. He was selected by the Iowa State Bar Association to serve on its Ethics & Practice Guidelines Committee. Mr. Heiting-Doane’s favorite pastime is spending time with his family. He is a fan of NFL football and the Seattle Seahawks. During college, Mr. Heiting-Doane worked as a salesman and mechanic in his father’s bicycle shop. In his free time, Mr. Heiting-Doane enjoys reading and sport climbing. |
