| Description | Tim Sheehan is an experienced trial attorney who focuses his practice on the defense of high-exposure medical malpractice claims. Tim has successfully litigated hundreds of these claims in federal and state courts by utilizing his understanding of the underlying medicine, adroitly cross-examining experts and witnesses, and persuading jurors in carefully constructed opening and closing statements. For more than 25 years, Tim has represented individual physicians, podiatrists, nurse practitioners, dentists, chiropractors and other medical professionals, as well as hospitals and nursing homes, in a myriad of claims arising out of the delivery of medical care across all areas of specialty. Given his extensive experience investigating complex claims and cross-examining medical experts, Tim frequently is brought in – by colleagues at the firm or to replace prior counsel at another firm – to try general liability cases that allege serious personal injuries. Tim regularly lectures to attending physicians, residents and nurses at major teaching hospitals and smaller community hospitals on medical malpractice and risk management topics.
