| Description | Mr. Richmond focuses his practice in the areas of Civil and Commercial Litigation, Banking law, Collections, Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, and Zoning and Land Use. He is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Supreme Court. He joined the firm after graduating law school in 1995. Mr. Richmond graduated with High Honors from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and is a Member of The Order of the Coif, an honorary society for those graduating in the top of their law school class. Mr. Richmond is involved in a number of professional organizations: Mr. Richmond is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Kane County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He has served as Co-Chair of the New Lawyers Division and Public Relations Committee of the Kane County Bar Association. Mr. Richmond is the General Counsel for the Kane County Bar Association for 2009-2010. Mr. Richmond is a member of the Elgin Breakfast Rotary and a member of Rotary International. Mr. Richmond is a Village Trustee in the Village of South Elgin, Illinois serving his second 4 year term. He has served as the Board liaison to the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, Public Works Department and Finance Department. He has also served as a liquor control commissioner for the Village. Mr. Richmond is a past Chairman of the South Elgin Economic Development Council (SEED), a private, not-for-profit corporation created to provide input and guidance on South Elgin economic development matters and to recruit and assist the Village of South Elgin in developing and implementing long term economic development goals. Mr. Richmond currently serves on the Board of Directors of St. Charles Bank & Trust Company and is chair of the audit committee. He also serves as a member of the Sherman Family Healthcare Advisory Board. Mr. Richmond is the Vice-President of the Brett Armin Sarcoma Foundation, an IRS 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to raising funds for sarcoma research and treatment. Mr. Richmond received his B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University in 1990 and his J.D. (with High Honors) from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1995. |
