| Description | With over 23 years of trial experience, accident attorney Phillip Chupik knows what it takes to win inside the courtroom. Phil earned his chops as a skilled courtroom competitor as an assistant district attorney with the Galveston County District Attorney’s office, where he participated in over 50 jury trials. After three years of criminal work in Texas, Phil entered civil litigation practice in Colorado initially representing developers and builders, and then physicians and hospitals in negligence claims brought against them. After many years representing defendants, Phil decided he could no longer oppose those who had been injured. He was determined to utilize his adept trial skills to help those injured by the negligent acts of others. After joining Metier Law Firm in 2008, Phil says switching sides was the best decision he ever made. Phil is a tough, dedicated trial lawyer whose passion and determination is a direct result of the clients he represents. He is continually amazed at the strength of his clients in the face of troubled and trying times. Their will to keep going against great odds, drives Phil to fight for them and their families in and out of the courtroom to strive for solutions that are best suited to their individual needs. Phil graduated from the University of Colorado earning a degree in Political Science. He went on to receive his Jurist Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law, consistently one of the top 15 law schools in the country. Phil is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Colorado Bar Association (medical malpractice and auto litigation sections), Texas Bar Association, Denver Bar Association and American Association of Justice (nursing home section). Phil is the President of his homeowners association and was co-leader of the continuing education sessions for nurses at the University of Colorado, Risk Management Department. He also worked with Dr. Richard Martinez at the University of Colorado Medical School presenting ethics models to students finishing their surgery rotations. Phil has earned the respect of his peers and adversaries as an accomplished trial lawyer and is peer rated by Martindale Hubbell as Distinguished (BV Rating) for his ethics and legal abilities.
