| Description | Mrs. Spagnola-Hills received her Bachelors of Science in BusinessAdministration (1987) and Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida (1991)and has been licensed to practice law in Florida since 1992. She credits her skills asa workers’ compensation litigator to her educational background at the UF Collegeof Law and participation in the law School’s Trial Team. She is a member of theFlorida Bar Association and the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Section, and isBoard Certified in Florida Workers’ Compensation (since 1999). She is admitted tothe United States Southern District and Middle District Courts of Florida.Mary has had the opportunity to represent both injured workers and employers,carriers and servicing agents and now concentrates her practice defending Insureds,Employers, Carriers, Self-Insurers and Third-Party Administrators in workers’compensation matters. Mary’s initial ten (10) years representing injured employeeshas given her a unique perspective and advantage in representing her currentclients. She also has experience in Employment Discrimination Defense, RetaliatoryDischarge Defense, Unemployment Defense, Social Security Disability and CivilLitigation. Mary firmly believes that the client is her number one priority andbelieves in a Team Approach, working closely with her clients to optimize theoutcome and maintaining communication with timely updates and continuity ofstrategy. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Treasure Coast Divisionof the 440 Scholarship Fund, Inc. as Secretary from January 2015 to September2016, raising funds to provide college scholarships for students affiliated with peopleinvolved in the Florida Workers’ Compensation System and continues to be involvedin this important organization.Mrs. Spagnola-Hills is a two-time breast cancer survivor. She is a fierce advocatefor breast cancer awareness and research towards a cure and has been a member ofthe Board of Directors of the Susan G. Komen, South Florida Affiliate since April2015. She has been married to Bill for 20 years and they have 2 sons, William andZachariah and a furry 9-year-old, 65-pound son, Zeus. Mary has also found the timeto pursue her interest in martial arts with her family where she, her husband and twosons are all black belts. Her hobbies also include photography and making jewelry.Mary is an Official Provider and Instructor for the Florida Bureau of Agent & AgencyLicensing Services, providing adjusters with seminars for continuing educationcredits. |
