Following graduation from Harvard Law School and completion of a judicial clerkship with the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, Attorney Fishman joined Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City where he practiced corporate and commercial litigation until 1978. He commenced practicing law in Connecticut shortly thereafter, placing greater emphasis on bankruptcy law and related matters.Attorney Mark Fishman has lectured on bankruptcy law to various groups, including the Connecticut Bar Association annual meeting, groups of bankers and business owners, and law students. He has participated in various professional organizations, including the Advisory Committee to the State Law Revision Commission on repeal of Article 6 of the Uniform Commercial Code and the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association Section on Commercial Law and Bankruptcy. He served as Chairman of the Commercial Law Section of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and Co-Chairman of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Regional Bar Association. |
