| Description | A passionate trial lawyer with a heart for justice, Kristi is known for her zealous advocacy and trial skill. Few lawyers in Eastern Washington have tried more personal injury cases as a young lawyer. Her trial reputation with judges, other lawyers and insurance adjusters means that cases get full value because corporate America and the insurers know she can and will go to trial. Kristi is a Tri-Citian and a mother of a pre-school age son. Three generations of her family were born here in Kennewick, Pasco and Richland, Washington and her roots are deep in our community, our history and our culture. Her story is unique and began in this very firm as a teenage file clerk where she fell in love with trial work. By the time she graduated from law school, she had already worked as a paralegal and intern at three personal injury law firms across Eastern Washington (in Tri-Cities, Pullman and Spokane), had assisted on several large personal injury cases (including: a Ford Motor Company product case, a 17-plaintiff daycare abuse case and the wrongful death of teenage bicyclist) and had tried several criminal cases to verdict as a Intern Deputy Prosecutor. Kristi’s notable cases to date include two confidential settlements against Federal Express Corporation, verdicts of $276,000 in a case of a union electrician who underwent a experimental disc replacement surgery, a $490,000 verdict for a bicyclist unable to return to his union position after a hip injury, and $236,000 gross verdict in a slip and fall premises liability case. Her work on the firms largest cases with partner Jay Flynn bring a team approach to cases. Together, their unique blend of talents and strengths compliment their trial style. In addition to receiving the ‘Ready to Soar 2009 New Member of the Year’ statewide award from her trial lawyer peers at the Washington State Association for Justice, Kristi has served for six years on numerous committees for the WSAJ and has worked with this organization tirelessly to level the playing field for the injured in our state. |
