John also handles litigation matters for large insurance clients and regularly consults with businesses regarding matters involving risk assessment, contracts, and dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration. He has represented clients in lawsuits involving breach of contract, oil and gas royalty disputes, consumer protection matters, employment issues, non-compete agreements, fraud, conversion (theft), trade secrets, trademarks, and breach of fiduciary duty. A Purdue University graduate who earned his law degree, cum laude,, from Northern Illinois University College of Law, John has written and spoken extensively on a wide range of subjects and has received numerous honors for his professional achievements. When not serving his clients, John enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, who are supportive of and humored by his continued pursuit of his childhood dream of being the next Tony Esposito by playing goaltender in adult league hockey. John is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts as well as Illinois, U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. |
