| Description | Jesse A. Footlik concentrates his practice in the areas of trust, estate, and guardianship litigation and administration, and elder law, with an emphasis on contested trusts and estates. In addition to representing individuals and families as heirs and beneficiaries, Jesse represents both corporate and individual fiduciaries, including financial institutions and healthcare providers. Jesse also counsels clients involved in various Power of Attorney disputes, both in and out of court. Jesse has successfully litigated cases on both the trial and appellate court levels. He has significant experience guiding clients though the probate process in decedent’s estates as well as the estates of disabled adults and minors. Jesse has been named an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star every year 2015-2018, nominated by his peers as one of the best attorneys in Illinois, an honor which is bestowed on up to only 2.5% of the attorneys in Illinois annually. He was also selected by Leading Lawyers Magazine as a top Emerging Lawyer in Elder Law and Trust, Will & Estate Planning Law. Jesse is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, where he serves as Vice Chair of the Probate Practice Rules and Forms Committee, and he also serves on the Chicago-Kent Young Alumni Council as a Vice President. Jesse has assisted in the preparation of new probate and elder law legislation, as well as continuing legal education programs and legal resources. He also frequently lectures on various elder law topics. Prior to law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Jesse graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. |
