That office was spearheaded by Howard Weitzman, one of LA’s premier entertainment litigators. During his four years in LA, Mr. Hale worked on several high profile entertainment litigation matters, including cases for Hollywood studios, directors, and actors. IL)(Mr. Hale successfully defended ten retired Chicago police officers who were sued by a man claiming he had been framed for the rape and murder of a nine-year old girl and had been wrongfully imprisoned for 26 years)Joseph Serfecz v. Jewel Food Stores, Inc. (Mr. Hale represented the owner of a shopping center who sued Jewel Food Stores for moving out of its anchor tenant space but continuing to pay rent. Monico, a successful personal injury and medical malpractice attorney, and the firm of Hale & Monico was formed. The firm represents clients in civil rights, commercial litigation, discrimination, personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases.Mr. Hale also represents clients who he believes are innocent and are wrongfully incarcerated. Mr. Hale has been able to vacate the convictions of two individuals, one after a 47 year prison term, and another after a 20 year prison term.
