| Description | After almost two decades of extensive courtroom experience, including well over 100 jury trials, James W. Jay Adair joined Galloway’s Mandeville office in 2019. Bringing his trial advocacy skills to serve Galloway’s clients, Jay has developed a practice which encompasses premises liability, construction litigation, and insurance coverage and defense, protecting insurer’s rights in both first and third-party insurance disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Jay felt called to serve his home community of Jefferson Parish. He worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the 24th JDC from 2001-2009 where he prosecuted violent felony offenses on behalf of domestic violence victims and survivors. Moving from the Southshore to the Northshore, Jay continued to serve as a prosecutor in St. Tammany and Washington Parishes. Though adept and experienced at handling all kinds of felony cases, Jay developed a specialized practice, seeking justice on behalf of child survivors of sexual assault. His dedication and success was recognized by the community as recipient of the 2016 District Attorney Victim Advocate Award. Jay is blessed to be the husband of Rachel, his wife of 12 years, and the father of four children. Jay has been involved in many community-oriented activities, including service as a board member of Hope House, Children’s Advocacy Center. Most recently, he is a graduate of Leadership St. Tammany’s Class of 2019.
