His approach has resulted in successful representation of a wide variety of clientele.Over the years, his practice led him to be chosen to represent the most severely injured people involved in accident cases, providing successful recovery for paraplegics, quadriplegics, individuals who have lost limbs, and individuals who have lost loved ones as a result of the carelessness of others. He has been chosen to represent publicly traded companies, a variety of local businesses, banks, and various professionals including, physicians, architects, certified public accountants and even other lawyers. For his work in the courtroom, Doug was awarded ‘Top 100 Litigation Lawyer in the State of Arkansas For 2013’ from the American Society of Legal Advocates. For his legal services provided to the community, Doug was awarded the ‘Outstanding Volunteer Lawyer of the Year 2012’ by Arkansas Legal Aide, Equal Access to Justice Program. His practice also focuses on family matters representing parents in which the custody of children is aggressively contested and also spouses in which alimony and property division are at issue. As to area of real estate, Doug has successfully represented clients in multiple boundary line dispute cases, contractor lien claims, and other real estate issues. He has served as an attorney in real estate closings for developers, builders, contractors and individual buyers. He represents multiple landlords and rental companies, providing services in obtaining possession of lease property and also drafting or reviewing lease documents. He has also devoted significant time over the years to assist families in the probate of their estates, not only for many local families but routinely representing out-of-state individuals seeking to probate the estates of family members whose assets are located in Arkansas.
