After graduation, he served his country as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. Following his naval service, Mr. Barker graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. He practiced in Los Angeles, California before returning to Charleston, South Carolina to raise his family and practice law. As a family man, Mr. Barker’s wife and four children are his pride and joy. More than a witness to the emotional consequences of divorce, he considers himself an advocate for the family, challenging himself to continue his education so that families in divorce crisis not only survive the legal process, but also continue to thrive. Just as Mr. Barker’s advocacy and compassion for his clients is second to none, his involvement as a member of his Christian community is also rooted in service and a passion for helping others. Besides serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Visitor, a Lay Reader and a member of the choir, he is the drummer for the Christ Church Praise Band and a member of the Vestry. |
