| Description | Mr. Ewing practiced in tax and business law and became of counsel to Callison Tighe in 2000. Although primarily representing closely held businesses and families, he represented banks, publicly held corporations, medical groups and individuals in purchase and sale transactions, employee benefit plans, contracts, tax advantaged real estate investments, real estate sales and exchanges and tax controversy matters. His practice had an emphasis on tax planning and implementation in estate planning and administration of estates and trusts, partnerships and corporate business transactions. He handled a wide range of will and probate issues, including estates with high net worth, as well as planning for sales and acquisitions, business succession and limited liability corporations. He has had tax articles published in national law journals and has been a speaker at numerous legal and accounting seminars. David holds a business administration degree from Clarkson University, a law degree from the University of Florida, and a master’s in tax law from New York University. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy JAGC in San Diego, California from 1968-1971 with primary practice in courts-martial and criminal proceedings, including judging and appellate review.
