| Description | Alexander (Alex) Loy is an associate at Ver Ploeg & Marino. Alex is a proud graduate of both Trinity College and Albany Law School. As a law student, Alex served as the Note and Comment Editor for the Albany Law School Journal of Science and Technology. Alex is a former member of the Immigration Branch of the Albany Law Clinic and Justice Center, and also clerked for the Office of the Albany County District Attorney. Shortly after graduation, Alex represented the United States in the Lightweight Men’s Quadruple Sculls (LM4X) at the 2018 World Rowing Championship Regatta in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Alex began his legal career in Miami, FL representing large health care providers and other clients engaged in complex litigation. Alex has assisted health care providers in navigating nuanced issues relating to ERISA, Medicare, and other topics in managed care dispute settings aimed to recover wrongfully reduced or denied payments. Alex has also represented individuals and corporate entities involved in multi-forum litigation concerning breaches of contract, business torts, employment disputes, and other issues. |
