| Description | Alex joined Leake & Andersson in 2009 and brought a wealth of litigation and alternative dispute resolution experience to the firm. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Alex handled a substantial caseload of commercial and residential property claims and helped to resolve complex legal issues that have changed the insurance landscape of the state and region.A partner at L&A since December 2014, Alex has continued to expand his skills and experience, working in areas such as employment, intellectual property, health care, data privacy, government contracting, construction, professional liability and securities. Alex also has significant appellate experience, having handled appeals in all Louisiana state circuit courts as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and Federal Circuits.Alex has backgrounds in both sociology and biology, having earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from The Ohio State University and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Orleans. He graduated from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia in 2002.Alex additionally works with multiple nonprofit organizations in the New Orleans community, and is both a former and current member of various boards and committees for those organizations. He is also the firm’s representative on the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel, and the firm’s liaison to the Pro Bono Project, working to affirm Leake & Andersson’s commitment to community service. Alex lives in Uptown New Orleans with his wife, Amy, daughter, Josephine, and son, Clark. He is proud to call New Orleans home. |
