| Description | Mr. Howie was born and raised in Maryland, and lives in Anne Arundel County, Maryland with his five children. Mr. Howie’s law practice is focused on civil litigation in the state and federal courts of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Howie has been representing both plaintiffs and defendants for more than 26 years. He has extensive experience litigating cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and retailer liability, products liability, wrongful death and survival, insurance coverage disputes, declaratory judgment actions, state administration matters, and appeals to the various state and federal appellate courts. Mr. Howie’s practice is approximately fifty percent in Maryland, forty percent in Virginia, and ten percent in the District of Columbia. Because Mr. Howie has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, he has intimate knowledge of how insurance companies work, and he knows how to most effectively represent injured persons against insurance companies and their negligent insureds. Mr. Howie has been selected as a Maryland Super Lawyer in 2007, 2010-12, and 2015-17. |
