| Description | Ryan Shaffer is a partner in the firm’s Missoula office. Ryan’s practice includes all types of civil litigation on behalf of our clients. Ryan has tried cases to judges and juries and he has substantial experience representing clients in state courts, federal courts, and before administrative agencies. Ryan’s clients include people who have been harmed by defective products and toxic substances, people whose civil rights have been violated, corporations in regulated industries, and corporate clients involved in business disputes. Our firm’s clients have typically been taken advantage of, or were harmed, by large corporations. Ryan is passionate about using the legal system to right those wrongs. Ryan is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Montana, Wyoming, and North Dakota, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His clients reside all of the United States. Ryan is a member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association of Justice, and the Western Montana Bar Association. Personal Ryan resides in Missoula, MT with his wife and daughter. Ryan grew up in Boulder, Colorado and moved to Missoula, MT as a student in 1995. Ryan received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Montana and graduated cum laude from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. Ryan contributes a substantial amount of time providing pro bono legal services to those who cannot afford an attorney and he has served on the board of directors for several non-profits in Missoula. |
