| Description | Rosa Solis-Rainey is an A/V rated lawyer with a wide range of experience in litigating disputes, as well as working with clients to resolve disputes outside of the litigation context. Her practice includes representing businesses in all manner of contract disputes, litigating products liability claims, insurance bad-faith and professional liability claims, along with a variety other commercial disputes. Rosa has successfully defended clients facing professional liability, defamation, and breach of contract claims. Rosa has substantial experience in writ practice and appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court. She has disposed of tort claims by motion practice based on lack of causation, federal preemption, and statutes of limitation. She is experienced in all aspects of motion practice before state and federal courts, complex discovery particularly electronic discovery, and depositions of fact and expert witnesses. Prior to and during law school, Rosa spent nearly 12 years as part of the corporate level management team at Boyd Gaming Corporation, where she served as the Director of Internal Audit, Director of Regulatory Compliance, and member of the Board of Directors’ Audit Committee and its Compliance Committee. Rosa is bi-lingual, English and Spanish. She is the proud mother of two sons, a Sophomore at Rice University, and a Grad student at the University of Notre Dame. Following two judicial clerkships, Rosa began her practice at the state’s then-largest firm, where she was a member of the litigation and administrative law departments. Prior to joining Morris Law Group, Rosa assisted local and international clients in addressing a variety of regulatory gaming issues including licensing and disciplinary matters, compliance committee issues, and the preparation and implementation of minimum standards and internal controls for gaming licensees. On April 30, 2019, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak appointed Rosa as one of the five members of the Nevada Gaming Commission. Clerkship Experience Law Clerk to the Honorable Myron E.
