She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Pan American University in 1989, and her Masters Degree from the University of Texas, Pan American, in 1991. In 1997 she received her J. D. Degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Gay is a member of the Hidalgo County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Stat Bar of Texas; Director, John Knox Village, Weslaco, Texas; past officer of the Hidalgo County Women’s Bar Assocition, and, past Co-Chair, State Bar of Texas History on Preservation Committee.
