| Description | Peter Mariano Cordovano was born in Manhattan, NY, raised in Queens, NY, and resides in New Paltz, NY. Attorney Cordovano received a Bachelor’s degree in the pre-medical sciences from Manhattan College in the Bronx, NY in 1981, and received his Doctorate of Law from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Touro Law Center in Huntington, NY in 1986. Attorney Cordovano’s legal experience has been with the Dutchess County Public Defender’s Office in Poughkeepsie, NY; the New York State Attorney General’s Office in Poughkeepsie, NY; Finkelstein, Kaplan, Levine, Gittlesohn & Tetenbaum in Newburgh, NY; and Anthony M. Barraco, P.C. in Highland, NY. He established his own firm, Peter M. Cordovano, P.C., in 1992. Peter M. Cordovano, Esq. maintains professional memberships in the New York State Bar Association; the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; the Colombian Lawyers of Rockland County; the Ulster County Bar & Dutchess County Bar Associations; the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives; and the New York State Injured Workers’ Bar Association. For many years, Mr. Cordovano also served his state, county and town as a Delegate to the NYS Third District’s Judicial Committee; as a Board of Ethics member to the Ulster County Legislature, assisting in a substantial rewrite of that County’s Ethics Law in 2007 and 2008; and as a Board of Ethics member to the Village of New Paltz. Peter M. Cordovano, Esq. lectures on attorney ethics, having been accredited for such presentation by the NYS Injured Workers Bar Association.
