| Description | {newline}Michael Houtz received both his B.A. degree in European Studies and his J.D. Law degree from Brigham Young University. He also graduated from New York University in 1986 with a masters degree in French Studies. After graduating law school, Michael served as a clerk for the Arizona Court of Appeals. In 1991 he started his career working as an attorney for the law firm Helgesen, Houtz & Jones. He was made a partner of the law firm in 1996.Michael Houtz focuses his practice on Social Security Disability, Personal Injury, Wills & Trusts, Contracts and Medical Malpractice. He has earned the reputation of winning cases. He wins almost all of his Social Security Disability cases. He has been the lead attorney in some class action lawsuits and has extensive experience in criminal defense cases as both the defense attorney and the prosecutor.He met his wife while serving an LDS mission in France. They are now the proud parents of five children. He and his family are avid Yankee Fans. They enjoy traveling around the country as a family and have attended baseball games at the Yankee Stadium on many different occasions. He enjoys sports and is one of the few who had the opportunity to play baseball in college. Many people dream of saying they have run a marathon, Michael can say he has run 22 marathons, including the most famous New York City Marathon. He is a member in St. George at the 10 year club. |
