| Description | Matthew R. Fransen has practiced law in and around the greater New Orleans are for the last seventeen years. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fransen practiced at a small personal injury firm in New Orleans, where he represented a wide variety of personal injury plaintiffs in cases involving automobile accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, mass torts, slip and fall accidents and admiralty injury cases. Mr. Fransen also handled criminal and civil defense matters. Mr. Fransen began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, trying over 100 judge and jury trials in both juvenile and adult courts. Mr. Fransen was born and raised in New Orleans. He received his undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU). He earned his JD from Tulane University Law School with a certification in Admiralty Law. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the [Louisiana Association for Justice, the New Orleans Bar Association, and the Jefferson Bar Association] and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
