| Description | Kris Fendrock focuses her practice on providing individuals and businesses with legal and planning advice. Kris has negotiated and closed multi-million dollar transactions for clients, formed and structured start-up businesses, and reorganized existing businesses. In addition, Kris has advised individuals in general estate planning matters as well as in complicated wealth restructuring designed to reduce income and estate taxes. Kris has counseled multiple clients regarding tax, wealth and family planning for oil and gas rights. Kris’s unique experience gives her the ability to effectively plan for a number of complicated business and family transactions. Kris has also provided guidance to families who need assistance in navigating complicated Elder Law issues, such as qualifying a member of their family to receive Medical Assistance for skilled-nursing care. In addition, Kris has formed and advised non-profit organization and has obtained tax-exempt status for numerous family foundations and public charities from the IRS. Kris earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, where she served as a Comments Editor for the Penn State Law Review. While in law school, Kris was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society and served as President of the Women’s Law Caucus. Kris also served as a judicial intern for United States District Judge Sylvia H. Rambo and United States Chief Magistrate Judge Thomas M. Blewitt. Prior to attending law school, Kris worked for four years as an engineer in the semiconductor industry. |
