He is an AV rated lawyer.* He was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and graduated with high honors from the University of Texas in Austin. Upon returning home to Virginia, he acquired his law degree at the University of Richmond where he was Moot Court Chairman during his last year of law school. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Williamsburg Bar Association. He practices before Virginia Circuit Courts, the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Virginia Supreme Court as well as the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia Federal court. Throughout his career he has been a strong advocate for people who deserve to be treated fairly in the civil and criminal legal system. He has been co-counsel in False Claims Act cases resulting in recovering millions of dollars for the government, has recovered substantial sums for his clients in personal injury cases, has fought hard and successfully for parents who want custodial rights of their children, and has defended and helped hundreds of individuals who have made mistakes and become entangled in the criminal justice system. He also currently serves as General Counsel for several business entities. |
