Prior to entering the legal profession, Katherine worked as a researcher and writer for various non-fiction authors. She contributed to trade books appearing on both The New York Times Best Sellers’ list and The Wall Street Journal’s list of Best-Selling Books. Katherine received her Juris Doctor degree in 2013 from Michigan State University, graduating Cum Laude. While earning her Juris Doctorate degree, Katherine received awards for her analysis of domestic violence and spousal communication issues in Georgia and for her work in Wills and Trusts. She also served as Managing Editor for the Journal of Business & Securities Law and interned with The Honorable Judge Carla McMillian in the State Court of Fayette County.In 2013 Katherine joined a large Family Law firm serving the Greater Atlanta Area. She also gained legal experience in the areas of Elder Law, Wills & Trusts, and Real Estate Law prior to joining The McGarity Group in 2016. Katherine has assisted in the successful mediation and litigation of a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and modification of child support. She strives to make the family law process a little easier for her clients by guiding them through the various stages of litigation and helping to determine the best strategy for their individual cases. |
