Hayden is adept at resolving all types of family law and domestic relations disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and the Collaborative divorce process. When necessary, Hayden draws on extensive litigation experience and diligent preparation to provide effective advocacy in court. Hayden has significant experience representing individuals in military divorces, international and multi-jurisdictional cases, high net worth disputes, contract disputes, as well as complicated custody, equitable distribution and spousal support matters. Hayden has received extensive accolades from clients and attorneys alike. Since 2018, he has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for both Virginia and Washington D.C. an award received by only 2.5% of attorneys. He has also been rated AV Preeminent the highest Martindale-Hubbell attorney rating for professional excellence by fellow attorneys in Virginia and the District of Columbia. Hayden regularly presents to other lawyers and professionals on issues such as trial preparation, client advocacy, and unique ethical issues in divorce cases. He is also a board member of numerous bar and community groups, including the Fairfax Bar Foundation, and is president of his local law school alumni association. Immediately after law school, Hayden completed a one-year judicial clerkship with two Virginia Circuit Court judges. Since that time, Hayden has engaged exclusively in private practice. Hayden was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2007 and the Bar of the District of Columbia in 2014. He is also a member of the United States Supreme Court bar.
