| Description | George received his J.D., with distinction, from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2011 and is licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota and North Dakota. His undergraduate studies focused on agriculture and he obtained a B.S. in Animal Science from Iowa State University. A lifelong resident of Kittson County, George was raised in Hallock and graduated from Kittson Central High School. He is active in a number of community organizations such as the Lancaster Public School Board and Kittson County Economic Deveopment Authority, and he is a member of Lancaster Covenant Church. Prior to law school, George worked for a large integrated livestock producer and on the family farm, and he continues to farm on a small scale. Agriculture has always been a part of his life and he understands the complex issues faced by farmers today. George is ready to assist clients in farmland sales and purchases, conservation reserve program, wetland and drainage issues, farm leases, easement or zoning issues, estate planning for farmers, eminent domain, hunting leases, and mineral and wind power issues. In addtion to agriculture, George has broad experience in the greenhouse, nursery, and horticulture fields. He also has worked in manufacturing, government service contracting, and large-scale supply management. His wife, Heather, devotes her time to raising their three children, Felicity, Edythe, and Nels at their homestead near the Canadian border in rural Lancaster, MN where their beloved beagle ‘Millie’ keeps a close eye on all comings-and-goings. |
