| Description | In my criminal trial and criminal appellate practice, I tried cases in the state and federal courts including first degree murder, drug trafficking and continuing criminal enterprises. I argued cases in the state and federal appeal courts including the United States Supreme Court. Among my police misconduct cases I sued the Sheriff in a 220 person class action suit, Jones v. Sheriff, 9 Fla. L. Weekly Fed. D107 (S.D. Fla. 1995). The federal judge ruled that the Sheriff illegally kept acquitted defendants in jail after they were found not guilty. I won the case and the federal judge ordered the Sheriff to pay over one million dollars.
