| Description | Elizabeth A. Hoffman joined the firm in July of 2013. She brings an array of insurance defense experience to our litigation department. Ms. Hoffman has experience successfully defending clients in matters of premises liability, personal injury and coverage disputes in both federal and state court. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Hoffman worked for a defense litigation firm in Syracuse, NY, specializing in the defense of general liability, property damage and personal injury matters. Her dedication to her practice and exceptional skill has resulted in numerous favorable decisions for her insurance clients. She continues to negotiate settlements that eliminate and/or significantly decrease client exposure. In addition, Ms. Hoffman offers strategic guidance to personal, corporate and healthcare clients in general practice matters. Ms. Hoffman received her bachelor of arts degree from Syracuse University in 2006 with a dual major in political science and international relations-foreign policy in Latin America as well as a minor in spanish language and literature. She earned her J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law in 2009. While in law school, Ms. Hoffman was a dean’s list scholarship recipient. She was a notes and comments editor for the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce as well as a form and accuracy editor for The Digest. Her article, ‘A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing,’ was published in the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce in 2008 where it received honors as the top note for that year. Ms. Hoffman is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. She is a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association, Central New York Women’s Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. |
