| Description | David was born and raised in western Kentucky and returned to Paducah after completing his education. David graduated magna cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Spanish Language & Literature from Transylvania University in 2007. He received a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce in 2010. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2011, where he served as a production editor on the Kentucky Law Journal. After graduating from law school, David completed a two-year clerkship with Judge Thomas B. Russell in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. He has practiced at the firm since September 2013, and is admitted in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. David’s primary practice areas focus on civil litigation defense. He frequently defends hospitals, medical professionals, railroads, and other businesses in state and federal litigation. Outside of litigation, David assists these same clients with quality improvement, safety enhancement, and liability investigations, and represents them in proceedings before state and federal agencies. David is also versed in Kentucky education law and assists school boards and other administrators in operating their districts. In 2018, Super Lawyers recognized David as a Kentucky Rising Star in the area of Civil Litigation Defense. |
