| Description | Cyrus is an associate attorney practicing in a wide range of civil litigation and professional liability matters. Cyrus brings energy and focus to serving clients throughout the litigation process, applying his dedication to understanding each client’s position and goals and advancing their interests through thoughtful, methodical, and pragmatic representation. Prior to joining Lambert Coffin, Cyrus clerked for the Honorable Thomas E. Humphrey of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law, where he practiced as a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic in probate and family matters cases, served as a teaching assistant for the Legal Research & Writing Program, and tutored first-year students in torts and constitutional law. Outside of the law school, Cyrus practiced as a student attorney for the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office, where he drafted charging documents, negotiated plea dispositions, served as lead counsel in a trial, and assisted prosecutors in preparing felony prosecutions. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kermit V. Lipez of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Cyrus served as the Head Case Note & Comment Editor of the Maine Law Review, where he helped student writers produce focused legal research and commentary. He also competed as a part of the Maine Law Trial Competition Team and Moot Court Team, for which his team was awarded the Best Brief at the prestigious Craven Moot Court Competition, held annually at the University of North Carolina. Prior to law school, Cyrus was an aide to United States Senator Susan M. Collins, where he worked on health care, agriculture, and nutrition policy and legislation before serving as office manager. As office manager, he worked directly with various Senate offices, positioned the office to manage numerous budget reductions, and collaborated with staff and stakeholders across Maine. Cyrus maintains a strong interest in legislative and regulatory policy.
