Originally from just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Berger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida. After leaving the University of Florida, he attended law school at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, and earned his Juris Doctorate in 2007. During his third year in law school, Mr. Berger served in the Public Defenders Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, as a certified legal intern. He also served as a legal intern to Minor League Baseball’s In House Counsel in St. Petersburg, Florida. While at Stetson, Mr. Berger was a Student Ambassador and received the prestigious William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for his work in the community. Prior to joining Cole, Scott, & Kissane, Mr. Berger began his legal career at the Office of the Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. He defended indigent clients in misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony trial proceedings. |
