| Description | Amanda Chatman, a recent North Carolina Central School of Law graduate, decided to earn her law degree so that she could help others during difficult times in their life. As the ending of a marriage is one of the most challenging life events a person and their family may experience, Amanda found her true vocation in the practice of family law. During law school, Amanda clerked for Ellis Family Law, participated in the Family Law Clinic, competed in multiple client counseling competitions, and was active in the community through internships with Legal Aid of North Carolina and involvement in her law school’s Pro Bono Program. Since graduating from law school, Amanda is excited to become involved with the Durham and Orange County communities through work with the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties as a Spring 2017 provisional member. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and religious studies from the UNC Greensboro in 2013. During her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, kayaking at the lake, and spending time with her family. |
