He is a graduate of the Episcopal School of Acadiana (1990), Georgetown University (B.S. in Business Administration 1994) and Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center (J.D. 1998). In 1996, he was the recipient of a Rotary International Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship.Prior to joining Becker & Hebert, Mr. Doherty practiced at Voorhies & Labbe and Frederick & Doherty for sixteen years. He has extensive experience in the areas of Insurance Defense and Coverage Litigation, Commercial Transactions and Litigation, Construction Law and Litigation, Wills and Successions and Admiralty/Maritime Law.Mr. Doherty is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts; the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
